My husband built a chair for me for the first time and I made my first attempt at upholstering. I used an old wool blanket and a patch work quilt which was in need of repair that was without the stuffing or backing. Turned out pretty good and cost us $45.00. However, we had plywood scraps, screws, stain for the legs, wood glue, and staples. The cost included the old fabric I purchased at a flea market years ago, upholstery tacks, batting, stuffing, and legs. It was a weekend project.
