"Castell Dinas Bran by Cat Edwards = The castle is situated near Llangollen in North Wales. 'Dinas Bran' is variously translated as 'Crow Castle' or 'Bran’s Stronghold' and first appears in historical documents in the Century.
Castell Dinas Bran, Denbighshire. The ruins of the 13th-century Castell Dinas Bran tower over Llangollen and the Dee valley. There has been a fort here since the iron age. Today, the ruins are thought to have been built in the 1260s by Gruffydd Maelor II one of the Princes of Powys. The Panorama Walk, a minor road above Llangollen below the limestone crags of Eglwyseg is the perfect place to view the castle.Photograph: Simon Kitchin
