Dushashan dragged Draupadi, his sister-in-law, by her hair in the assembly of Kurus, including the Pandavas, Bhisma, Drona, King Dhritarastra, Karna, and the one hundred Kuru princes. There he tried to disrobe her. Draupadi ran to and fro, pleading to all great personalities present for help, while the rascal Dushashan chased her, trying to grab her sari. No one present came to her aid. Only the supreme Lord Krishna hearing his devotee's heartfelt call ultimately saved her.
