Swami Chinmayananda (1916-1993) the founding Father of Chinmaya Mission, World-wide. He was one of the world's foremost Vedantic scholar and one of India's most respected spiritual leaders. A gifted speaker, Swami Chinmayananda built an intense rapport with his audiences and communicated the teachings with vibrancy and wit. Ramakrishna -- Guru of Vivekananda (18 Feb.1836 – 16 Aug.1886), born Gadadhar Chattopadhyay, was a mystic of 19th-century India. His religious thoughts led to the formation of Ramakrishna Mission by his chief disciple Swami Vivekananda. Both were influential in the Hindu renaissance in the 19th and 20th centuries.
