Here's Paul Sherwen getting stuck in during the 1983 Paris-Roubaix race, surely the toughest single day classic bike race ever. As usual Paul has no helmet or track mitts even for the roughest surface of any race. He finished in the middle of the field but a year later placed 15th. So when you listen to him commentate on tv during the Tour de France remember he's done the business himself. In 1982 he rode the 584.5km. Bordeaux-Paris and finished 10th.
