The Bridgeton Billy Boys, a notorious Glasgow Razor Gang of the 1920s and 30s. Leader of the gang was Billy Fullerton (front row, centre with Bass Drum). He died in poverty in 1962 and is buried in an unmarked grave in Glasgow, Scotland.

In this painting, Christ is shown taking a momentary pause in His journey to gaze back towards us, with a hand outstretched in invitation, saying “Come, Follow Me”.
