harrietpophamtextiles: Embroidered Architecture - Prague /// this would be a great idea for a string study as it is unusual and really creative. i like the contrast between the white and navy also.

David Hockney I like that he is working with the movements of the picture and making a new concept with the image and making you look at it in a different way.

Rosie James textile designer - I admire her highly textural, embroidered juxtapositions and the variety of colour tones, layers of imagery and patterns. An intriguing, complimentary contrast is evoked.

Self promotion idea. Here's an interesting idea - this is a fabric sampler - but how about reducing your work - writer/photographer/blogger/designer - to a miniature scale and attach them to hang tags to show off your creativity as well as your fab talent.

CM Commitee- attach fabric or theme colors/fabrics/images/info to hang tags and attach to hot chocolate cups or on handouts

My Mother, David Hockney, 1982, photographic collage. The perspective on this is great. Again, students would be choosing a personal interest for their project and I would want them to photograph that subject in a place that meant something.

I like how this piece is a different shape. Also, it is cool how the framing is the sides of the bridge and how it's created to make your eyes move and end on the feet.
