Canon EF 35mm SLR - 1973
Available for only a very short while back in the day. Silky-smooth mechanical shutter, shutter-preferred automatic exposure operation, heavy-duty construction. The Canon AE-1 was introduced shortly after the EF was released. That model offered more features at a lower cost. Really, this EF has nearly the same construction feel of their flagship at the time, the all-manual F-1.

The Canon EF was produced from 1973-1978. EF was built as an electronic version of the F-1. Like the F-1 the EF is built like a tank. Shutter Speed : 1/1000-30sec Lens Mount : FD Light meter : Silicon Photocell with a range of EV 18 to -2, the light is measured in center weighted average metering, with less influence from the top of the frame, making it easy to take nicely exposed images with a skyline.
