Life sized self portrait by A2 student Alex Carter - using small gestural dots and manic marks to make the energy of light visible. This portrait was made to accompany a portrait of the artist's Dad. Together, the portraits of Father and son are very moving. Alex is now pursuing a career in computer games.

This acrylic painting is just bigger than A1. The intensity with which this student worked was an inspiration to all of her colleagues. The paintings and drawings of Giacometti and Ann Gale were a constant support during Hebe's learning. The sketchbook that accompanies this painting reflects the constant observation and problem solving crucial for creative learning.
