Cara Thayer and Louie Van Patten. Passion!

Work by Cara Thayer and Louie Van Patten. I like the amalgamation of the natural and artificial elements through the use of paint and the unfamiliar shapes created by the unusual angles in the composition.

"9 or 12 views of an object" - vary by level/class. Emphasizes multiple viewpoints, looking closely, + life. Kids usually only see a couple of views of a small object unless this way of "seeing" if stressed. Opens the door for talking about cropping, image selection, repetition, variation, pushing past "1st idea" in compositional development, etc. I've even done an "extension" where students pick favorite view to blow up and do in color with more "feeling" and less detail (and less time).

like for maybe O'Keeffe drawing. Find an object and have to re-position and draw different elements. (cool drawings of couples)

this picture is surreal because it is showing a teen loosing pieces from his face. This shows that he is either dying or falling apart. I choose this picture because it is the most satisfying and surreal one i could find. - Jorge Figueroa Block D.

Photographie de Vadim Stein qui m'évoque la condition humaine, l'hubris, la recherche créative, l'énergie vitale.

Vadim Stein is talented photo art creator based in St. Most of his works are in black and white but all are so eye-catching and visually strong with some erotic traces surrounding solid and sober atmospheres.
