Why Your Homeschool Classroom Needs a Learning Activities Station - Vibrant Christian Living
Our homeschool room has a learning activities station: A place full of coloring books , reference books, playing cards, self-contained art projects, small games, puzzles, sticker books and the like, all arranged in whatever baskets I have available at the time. I used a shelf like this to gather the baskets together. This is definitely a homeschool sanity saver if you're teaching multiple kids!
Recycled Crafts: Giraffe Sock Puppet
For Roald Dahl's story "The Giraffe and the Pelly and Me," have your students create giraffe, monkey, and pelican sock puppets. Group your students together and have them write a script based on a scene from the story and perform their puppet shows in front of their classmates. The finished puppets would make a cute "The Giraffe and the Pelly and Me" bulletin board display.
