Great idea for shipping containers. Bi-folding doors open up indoor and outdoor space

Outdoor Living & Bi-Folding Doors: Indoor/Outdoor Continuity

Bi-folding doors open up indoor and outdoor space- I love this idea of the kitchen opening up to the patio/ outdoor kitchen.

The Envelope House by William Tozer Architects: the rear of this three-storey semi-detached house in Wimbledon, London, has been extended with a combination of sliding, sliding-and-folding and pivoting glazed doors. Crisp.

A Victorian house in London via William Tozer Architecture & Design. Love the flow of space - black framed doors, minimalist kitchen, indoor/outdoor space, light wood floors, lots of windows and natural light

Love the off form concrete and the retractable skylight over the kitchen island. Cemetaries scare me, but this house which is situated on one, makes it look beautiful. Elliott House – North London, by Eldridge-Smerin Architects.

This sequence of perforations allows the entry of natural light and air in every room of the house, while it makes the interior space becomes an extension of the outdoor space.

Creating zones is a clever way to add interest to an outdoor space and make it feel bigger than it is. This garden has a dining table by the house, creating a dining section of the garden which is further defined by the arbour. . . . repinnedvia House to home

Description: "A simple and modern Japanese house by Studio Synapse." This room has wabi elements, as it is simple, uses natural materials, and was obviously constructed by hand (built in shelves, table, paneling). It may not be sabi since it is a new construction, however the design is very classic. This could be a "modern" California home from the late 40s.

Actually, my dream house don't need to come with luxury. Just a piece of place for me to sliently read a book, with a nice view outside, and a room for me to adopt a dog and play with it. That's all! But it somehow seems to be a luxury to achieve that in Hong Kong... House Extension by Bloem en Lemstra Architects

Cookbook wall within nook // House Extension by Bloem en Lemstra Architects. :-) has glass roof, light, bright.

Perfect! I would want loft on one side over a deck like this - loft could be an office. On the other side I would want a loft over the kitchen which would be a bedroom. Everything in one little space, no basement required.

Small Home Interior--small space, less fuss. This small home doesn't seem small.it has all the amenities of it's big brother, with just as grand a view and charm. I'd want a larger and more private loft though.
