Annika Bengtzon has spent her career telling stories that need to be heard. As a journalist, she's always been at the front line of criminal reporting. And now a court case that she's been reporting on - the savage murder of a homeless man - has begun to attract a lot of attention. With the stakes rising by the day, Annika is once again flung to the heart of a complex case.
City of Knives by William Bayer. December book club was pick your own book and report on it. This was the next book up on my Nook so I read it. Wow! This is a psychological thriller with the threads of four individuals and four stories coming together in Buenos Aires. Bayer fully develops both the stories, the characters, and skillfully weaves them together. One of the most fascinating characters is the City of Buenos Aires itself. Rating: 8/10
