"On the white paper (plain popcorn) I wrote numbers, on the yellow (buttered popcorn) I wrote math symbols (+ – x ). Students can then choose 2 pieces of white popcorn and 1 piece of yellow. They write the equation and answer in their books.
Write a boring adjective at the bottom of the paint strip on the most boring color. Give each student a paint strip and they can use a thesaurus or a word wall to think of "more colorful" words for their strip. Or use for Word Work
Colorful Light Ray Cross, part 1 ~ Put oil pastels along edge of scrap paper cut into cross shape. Tape lightly to second sheet of paper and use finger to smear the pastels onto the paper. Remove cross, revealing a beautiful radiant cross shape!
