The artists here has used watercolours to paint the inside of kiwi fruits. It's a more simple piece, and doesn't look hyper-realistic, yet still shows skill and looks effective. They've decided to show a sort of pattern rather than drawing the kiwis straight from observation, and they've left areas of the green white to show where the light is hitting it.

bell pepper - charcoal. Note the different directions of the marks and lines to suggest 3-D form and the build up of hatching to achieve tone.
Kiwi with Prisma's - @sparklingkeys
This illustration has a very sketchy and loose style to it which gives the page movement and interest. I used a similar style in some of my fruit observations. I also like the diverse use of colours which adds depth and shade.
