-1950's anne fogarty margot inc. bold striped chevron quilted dress Anne Fogarty (1919-1980) started her design career in 1948 working for Youth Guild. In 1950, she went to work for Margot, Inc. Her dresses commonly had fitted bodices and full skirts with crinolines, but after 1956, her look narrowed somewhat, with longer, straighter skirts.
