Irving Penn - Irving Penn was a master of photography, using a variety of cameras, techniques, and printing processes to capture his impeccably composed photographs. Within this constructed image Penn has used a variety of technical elements to add interest to an everyday object, the image captures the texture of the subject and the artificial lighting adds shadows and a range of tones.
Erwin Blumenfeld - I've the utmost respect for this photographer. I from time to time try to mimic the techniques and feelings brought forth by this master. My self-portraits mainly question the identity and question the artfulness in which I create. This is not unlike his work the portraits of himself he called psychological portraiture.
